Malta: HSBC weighing local business in global shake-up

The Malta Business Weekly says that HSBC Holdings is considering its operations in several countries including Malta. The global bank’s board is reported to have called for a ‘deep restructuring’ that will see it return to the Asian market.

A second story reports on proposals by the European Commission to allocate a €750 billion Recovery Fund as part of its seven-year budget. Member states can opt out of loans and grants schemes.
