PL Leadership nominations open tomorrow: The Headlines – It-Torċa

It-Torċa says that the process for a new leader of the Labour Party starts on Monday with the submission of nominations until Wednesday. Paid-up members will finally choose the leader in a vote in January.

The paper speaks to PL MEP and former party leader Alfred Sant about the leadership contest. Sant says that a new leader must eradicate the culture of ‘friends of friends’ and act in a transparent way.

Another story reports the Council for Economic and Social Development are holding an urgent meeting on Monday to discuss the national situation. The Council meet President George Vella last week.
