The Independent reports on a protest in Senglea organised by a Cottonera residents action group on Sunday against plans by the American University to expand its footprint. Activists said they are worried that the case officer still recommends the development for approval.
The paper also sends questions to the Ministry of Justice about a recent court judgement against a woman found guilty of cultivating 6.5 grams of cannabis. A spokesperson said that the ministry is examining the case ‘with an objective mind.’
