Immigrants in court following Monday riots – The Headlines: In-Nazzjon

In-Nazzjon says that 21 immigrants are facing charges in court for riots at the Ħal Far open centre on Monday. The paper says the revolt caused damage of more than €2,500 to state property.

A second article quotes the doctor’s union president who said that hospital concession holders Steward Healthcare threatened to leave if the government did not increase subsidies. Dr Balzan said it might be better to allow the US company to leave.
