Laws professor says President has right to remove Opposition Leader: The Headlines – L-Orizzont

Reading Time: < 1 minute

L-Orizzont speaks to Professor Kevin Aquilina who said that the political future of Adrian Delia depends on the parliamentary group, not party members. He argues that if the Opposition Leader does not enjoy the confidence of MPs the President is bound to remove him.

The paper also picks up a social media message by the former head of a PN think-tank, David Griscti, who warned Adrian Delia to step down or be removed.  Griscti said that the embattled PN Leader must “own up to his failures”.

Another story says that MEP Roberta Metsola and MP Claudio Grech denied that they have opposed the return of Franco Debono within the PN. The paper claimed that some members of the PN parliamentary group had objected to the idea.
