Mild earthquake near Naples

An earthquake of magnitude 2.8 was recorded at 1:17 am near Naples, Italy.

According to surveys carried out by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv), the earthquake epicentre was just between the Campania capital and Pozzuoli at a depth of 2km.

The tremor was clearly felt by the population, but no damage to people or things was reported.
