Muscat contemplated resigning next weekend: The Headlines – The Sunday Times

The Sunday Times reveals that Joseph Muscat has had to change plans of a hand-over to Deputy Prime Minister next week after MP Robert Abela announced his leadership bid. The paper says the Labour Party was hoping to confirm Fearne at an extraordinary conference.

Another story quotes Minister Chris Fearne who said that, were he to be elected Prime Minister, he will stick to his ‘cardinal principle’ of not interfering in the work of the police. Fearne said that the police should abide by their oath of office.
