The Times says that no cases of intoxicated drivers were reported on Christmas eve, according to a statement by the Police. Roadblocks set up on Monday night stopped around 350 vehicles and some 30 breathalyser tests were carried out.

The Times reports that an inmate died in his cell at the Corradino facility on Boxing Day before the ambulance arrived to treat him. Steven Farrugia, 34, had complained of chest pains before losing consciousness and finally passing away.
