Pawlu Lia no longer represents Keith Schembri: The Headlines – Malta Today

Malta Today reports that lawyer Pawlu Lia has renounced his legal brief for former chief of staff Keith Schembri. Lia has assisted Prime Minister Joseph Muscat in legal cases on several occasions.

Another story reports that the Caruana Galizia public inquiry ordered the preservation of phone location data from Minister Chris Cardona’s trip to Germany in 2017, when Daphne Caruana Galizia had claimed that he was at a brothel while on government business.

The paper says that a man was handed a four-year jail term for setting a car on fire in Żabbar. The arson attack, which was caught on video and hared widely, is believed to have stemmed from an argument over parking spaces.
