UK-based company obtains MGA licence: The Headlines – The Malta Business Weekly

The Malta Business Weekly reports that UK software company 1X2 Network has obtained a B2B supplier licence from the Malta Gaming Authority, in line with its strategy to establish itself as a leading game developer.

Another story reveals that Blackrock Media Ltd. was fined a record €2.3 million by the Malta Gaming Authority for offering unauthorised gaming services. An investigation by the MGA exposed irregular payments to and by players.

The paper reports that a blockchain company announced it is shutting down after ‘being misled’ by authorities about funding. Omnitude had partnered with the Maltese government to enhance public transport services.
